FISCAL MANAGER
Benzie Senior Resources (BSR) is seeking an experienced professional for the position of Fiscal Manager. Benzie Senior Resources is a non-profit organization, supported by Benzie County millage, federal and state funding, grants, and donations, that is focused on supporting older adults and the friends, family and community who surround them.
The selected candidate will be responsible for: payroll; general accounting, journal entries and budget transfers; monthly and quarterly reports for State/Federal/County funding; collection, receipt, handling, balancing and depositing of all monies; maintenance of a detailed General Ledger; assurance that all sub-contractor contracts and paperwork are received and filed as per regulations; assistance with the budgetary process; and assistance to external auditors in the annual audit.
Education and Experience: Must be at least 18 years of age, graduation from high school (college courses desirable) with significant work experience in accounting, payroll, budgeting, secretarial practices and some knowledge of senior population. Working knowledge of Quick Books (Non-Profits), Excel, Word, and other Microsoft products. Candidate must be competent with figures, accurate, highly organized, and must display considerable initiative, independent judgment, and discretion in completing delegated tasks while working with minimal supervision.
Knowledge of Human Resources is a plus.
