SNOW REMOVAL SPECIFICATIONS

2017 – 2018 Winter Season

  • plow driveway for 20-30 clients throughout Benzie County
  • meet with the assigned client prior to snow plowing to stake off areas to be snow plowed and placement of plowed snow (ex: whereabouts of well heads, underground sprinklers, plants/shrubs, etc.
  • shovel clear path to main entrance to allow emergency personnel access to door
  • clear around mail box
  • Spring clean-up at the end of snow season. This is intended for the contractor to clean up and smooth out any property damage done as a result of snow plowing.

Each client will receive a maximum of 14 snow removal vouchers for the winter season (November 15, 2017 – April 15, 2018).  Depending on the BSR Budget and Board of Directors approval; additional vouchers may be made available. If this not feasible, then each client is responsible for making arrangements directly with their snow removal contractor or with anyone they choose.

Benzie Senior Resources responsibilities:

  • Obtain initial request for service from the clients
  • Provide clients with contractor contact information
  • Provide a written list of names, addresses and phone numbers of the snow removal clients that are assigned to the Snow Removal Contractor
