A dedicated group of volunteers make weekly phone calls to homebound seniors to provide comforting conversation and verification of the senior’s wellbeing. Families and caregivers have the reassurance of knowing that someone will be checking on their loved ones on a regularly scheduled basis. Calls are made from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. during the weekdays. If the phone is unanswered, an emergency procedure is put into action to assure the client’s safety and to send help if necessary.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Must be at least 60 years old
Must live in Benzie County
