“You are only a stranger once” is a phrase heard over and over again when folks describe their experience with our senior center, The Gathering Place.

We are open Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. We have a variety of exercise classes, daily activities such as Bingo & Bunco and live music and dancing EVERY Tuesday. All ages are welcome here—we truly appreciate it when grandchildren visit!

We serve lunch 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday – Friday. Meals are prepared on site. Our mashed potatoes are REAL and our roasts cook overnight. Our chef has experience with ethnic dishes and  presents those in addition to comfort food offerings. Along with a daily entrée, our lunch also includes soup, a variety of steamed vegetables, salad bar. All for the suggested donation of $4 if you are age 60 or older. If you are under 60 it’s only $8.00. No one is turned away due to inability to pay.

We are located in the Honor Plaza in downtown Honor next door to the Secretary of State office. Hope to see you soon!
