Caregiver Fraud

Caregiver Fraud with Allison Hubley

According to journalist Susan Kostal, “Today, people over age 50fraud2
control 70 percent of our nation’s wealth. This sets older adults up for a variety of theft schemes and scams, not because they’re older and
weaker, but simply because they have the money, and thieves know it”.
This session will examine frauds perpetrated by individuals who serve as personal caregivers or by the agencies where they are employed. Russ Knopp, the owner of Northern Michigan Comfort Keepers,
Kristin Harrison of Munson Home Health, and Paula Gibeson RN-BC, Certified Gerontological Nurse will participate in a panel discussion and also discuss how potential caregivers are vetted by their
companies.
* Allison serves as a Basic Member of the Maricopa County, Arizona Sheriff’s Office Posse Reserve in a volunteer capacity.
